LOWELL, Mass. — On October 21st, Entrepreneurship For All (EforAll) hosted its 19th Pitch Contest. Focusing on Food and & Agricultural businesses and ideas, the event was quite delicious! Eight lucky entrepreneurs were chosen to pitch their ideas for a chance to win cash prizes even more local entrepreneurs were there to showcase their tasty treats.

The Winners include:

1st Place – The Salad Bar, Emily Schofield & Eleanor Foote

2nd Place – FoodVenture, Sam Antonaccio

3rd Place – Franklin Robotics, Rory MacKean

Fan Favorite – Purple Carrot Bread Company

Judges included: Lydia Blanchard (Owner, Sweet Lydia’s), Jen Faigel (Executive Director, Commonwealth Kitchen), Emily Green (Former CEO, Smart Lunches) and Nicole Ledoux (Co-Founder, 88 Acres)

The event was held at Café UTEC in Lowell, where Chief Innovation Officer Ed Frechette, spoke on UTEC’s social enterprise model which also includes their mattress recycling program, catering services, and the upcoming woodworking and furniture design crew. UTEC (United Teen Equality Center) was founded in 1999 and strives to help at-risk youth cultivate their workforce skills in an effort to keep them away from gangs and violence.
